Personality:
Jace likes order and if things are out of order and not done to her standards, she usually lets you know right away that she doesn't like the way you handle something. She has a hard time expressing positive emotions, which makes her come across as cold and uncaring at times. She gets obsessed over details and love her work because she needs to be thorough to get all the answers to the riddles right. Logic often dictates her actions more than feelings, which makes her good at handling grotesque murders and the likes as it doesn't phase her.


Likes:
-Anything older than the 1960s, especially clothing though
-Books
-Classical music, particularly songs heavily favoring the string section, not too fond of piano suites
-Dancing, classical and preferably ballroom
-Solving murders/making supernatural deaths seem like strange accidents.

History:
Jocelyn was a year and a half when her father moved with her back to Scotland. Her mother had died of an aneurism and her father didn't want to keep living in the US after that. Since she was too young to remember her biological mother, her father was quick to remarry so she'd grow up with a mother. It didn't matter that Clarissa had newborn twins that had recently lost their father in the war. Jocelyn grew up thinking Alexander and Isabella were her own siblings and always thought Clarissa was her mother.

When Luke was turned into a vampire, he kept his condition a secret from his family and watched over his children as they grew up. No one questioned why he didn't age, he used his compulsion to make them forget that it was weird. It wasn't until Jocelyn was seventeen that she realized something wasn't right. In the end, she convinced him to turn her into a vampire and the two of them were forced to leave Clarissa and the twins. Not because either of them truly wanted to, but because they were called away by older, more powerful vampires wanting them to leave their human families behind.

Luke and Jocelyn stayed together for a few decades before they separated and found different callings in life. Clarissa, now dead, had left behind two grown children who didn't remember much about Luke so he went to look after what had once been his family from a distance. Jocelyn went on to med school, going to night classes and got her degree as a forensic pathologist. Ever since acquiring her license, she's been working night time as a coroner.

A job opening was what brought her to Bitter Springs and she's just getting settled in now.
